Silk Screen

Silk screen printing is a printing technique that involves creating a stencil of the design that you want to print, and then using that stencil to apply ink to the surface of the garment. The process typically involves the following steps:

1. Create a stencil of the design that you want to print. This can be done by drawing the design directly onto a piece of silk, or by creating a stencil using a transparent sheet of film or paper.

2. Once the stencil is ready, it is placed onto the screen printing frame, which is a wooden or metal frame that holds the stencil in place.

3. The screen printing frame is then placed onto the press, which is a machine that is designed to hold the screen in place and apply pressure to the stencil.

4. Ink is then placed onto the screen, and a rubber blade (also called a squeegee) is used to spread the ink evenly across the stencil.

5. The garment is placed onto the press, and the screen is pressed down onto the garment, forcing the ink through the holes in the stencil and onto the fabric.

6. The garment is then removed from the press and allowed to dry.

This process is repeated for each color in the design, with a new stencil and screen being used for each color. Once all of the colors have been applied, the garment is heat-set to help the ink bond to the fabric, and the finished shirt is ready to wear.
